Scented Candles - So Much Choice!

There is an incredible selection of scented candles available to the the discerning customer. The choice is not restricted to things sucxh as the colour or style of individual items, but also to the the ingredients or constituent parts which make up scented candles. Luxury candle manufacturers  such aslike True Grace candles or Yankee candles tend to create their candles from a bespoke mixture of different waxes, usually vegetable waxes such as soy wax or coconut wax, while mass-market, less expensive varieties are usually, though not always, made out of paraffin wax. However, that   does not mean that paraffin wax is necessarily a cheap choice. You could for example choose scented candles made from triple-milled paraffin wax which is highly refined and clean burning and which displays many of the properties which has made vegetable wax such a popular option with candle makers. And even when you are talking about creating the fragrance for a candle  there tends to be a difference between the ingredients used by luxury handmade candle brands and less expensive makes. Luxury candle makers like True Grace candles and Yankee candles  will normally use the essential oils of plants and flowers to create their candle scents. These essential oils are derived directly from the plant or other botanicals and are obtain through a process known as distillation. Essential oils are very concentrated and thus very powerful  so that you only need use the smallest quantityto create a strong, true-to-life fragrance in a scented candle.Cheaper scented candles which are often to be found in the supermarket or local store are in the main made  with the use of synthetic  aromatic agents and this is one explanation for the fact that some people complain their scented candles do not have a noticeable aroma or that the scent is not very realistic. In addition to the waxes used and the fragrance ingredients employed, the other significant difference between luxury candle makers and the less expensivemakes is seen most obviously when it comes to aesthetics. Luxury candle brands devote many resources to creating beatifully designed and packaged candles, perfect for any occasion, while cheaper mass market brands tend to have more basic, everyday designs and packaging. Two other significant  differences between scented candles made by the more expensive manufacturers and their cheaper alternatives are the cost of the candlke and the burn time. Both these considerations are connected As alluded to above, soy wax and vegetable wax lasts longer than basic paraffin wax so you effectively get better value for money. However by the same token these waxes, together  with beeswax, are more expensive to buy, which means the finished result is more costly too.
